The Stony Point Police Department is comprised of more than two dozen full-time officers and part-time officers in addition to an auxiliary force. The department is an accredited, full service agency that has practiced, “Community Policing” since its inception in 1967. Our police department works in partnership with our residents to ensure that Stony Point remains one of the safest communities in the nation well into the future. The men and women of the Stony Point Police Department take great pride in providing our community with a high level of police service. Their hard work and dedication is evidenced by our community having one of the lowest crime rates for a town of our size in New York State.
